Loose Tube Layer Stranded Strengthened Armored Optical Cable (GYTA53)

  • Product description
  • The structure of GYTA53 optical cable involves embedding optical fibers into loose tubes made of high modulus materials, filled with waterproof compounds. The core of the cable consists of a central metal strength member, and depending on requirements, a layer of polyethylene (PE) can be extruded over the metal strength member. The loose tubes (and filler ropes) are twisted around the central strength member to form a compact and circular core. Gaps within the core are filled with water-blocking materials. A layer of polyethylene inner sheath is extruded over the core, and after being longitudinally wrapped with dual-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP), the cable is extruded with a polyethylene outer sheath.
Number of optical fibers: 2 to 144 cores
Specific cable models include: GYTA53-24B1.3, etc.
